funkybassplayer Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 If we loved them we all do our best, we all make mistakes, and we all learn! No one is perfect, and every partner brings out different traits in us. Forgive ourselves forgive them, grow, and move forward!
madgun68 Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I bring nothing to the table.I wouldn't believe that if you paid me to do so!

katiebour Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 What do you feel are your three greatest strengths as a partner? Your three greatest weaknesses? Strengths: 1. Honest and open- I believe in telling the truth and not holding back thoughts or emotions. 2. Caring and nurturing- I get like a little bird, I nest and I feed my nest-mates. Making a house into a home, cooking, etc., I love it. I've been complimented on my ability to do both numerous times. 3. Dedication/Loyalty- once you have my love and devotion, you have it forever or until you throw it back in my teeth. Weaknesses: 1. Controlling- I have a tendency to try and "take charge" of situations; I tend to think that "my way" is always the right way. I have to watch myself constantly and try to counteract this tendency. 2. Hedonist- I love my creature comforts- food, blankies, toys, games, etc. I spend a lot more money than I should; I know I should be putting $$$ into savings. Working on finally paying off credit card debt and then build up my savings. 3. Codependent tendencies- I make my partner my life. Every time I lost one I wanted to die- I felt like my life was over. Still working on living life for ME- work has helped a lot. Finally getting a driver's license at 26 helped me to be more independent too Based on your relationship that just ended, what have you learned about what you MUST HAVE in a partner that you didn't have with this one? Well my previous relationship ended almost 3 years ago. After I picked up the pieces I was determined to find someone who was as "clingy" as I am- someone who wants to be with me as much as I want to be with them. I was able to find this in my current b/f and it makes a world of difference.
