DateAnalyzer Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 I never want to assume anything but on my way home from work, i was sitting on the bus near this girl and after 15 min, she asked me a question about the AC on the bus and do I know where it's coming from? Was that her creative way you think of trying to get to know me or was she really interested in knowing where the AC was coming from?-lol
Star Gazer Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 *face palms...regains composure* Well, how did you answer her question? And then what did she say? We can't discern anything simply from that one question.
directx Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 DateAnalyzer, Run, don't walk, to the video store and rent Meatballs with Bill Murray. Watch the movie for the scene where they play tennis. That's all im going to say ("Did you see the way she handed you that racket?")
Krytie TV Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 OMG... I've run into this before. I had a girl use the exact same AC line on me on the bus. It wasn't until weeks later that she told me that I should have been able to directly translate it as "If your hand isn't under my shirt in 2 seconds I'll never forgive you." To this day I lament my stupidity. I should have known... why didn't I know? Next time someone asks and innocent question like that, I strongly advise you go for under her shirt. No need to thank me... I like to help.

But that's the difficuly thing about trying to meet someone in public because it's so easy to assume they are hitting on you.
Star Gazer Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 well i became nervous of course-lol Another unexpected moment I wasn't ready for. But that's the difficuly thing about trying to meet someone in public because it's so easy to assume they are hitting on you. So you remained mute?
reboot Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Why in the world would you assume everyone that talks to you might be hitting on you?
Krytie TV Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Well, in his defense (did I just say that?), when I first moved to the land of glorious micro-brews, I once asked a girl sitting at a bar what kind of beer she was drinking. I was totally hitting on her. You just never can tell.

Krytie TV Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Well yeah but, guys only talk to girls to hit on them. OK, guilty as charged. It's a fair cop.
Author DateAnalyzer Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 Why in the world would you assume everyone that talks to you might be hitting on you? because of what's usually being asked, it's not really something she needed to know
Author DateAnalyzer Posted October 12, 2007 Author Posted October 12, 2007 So you remained mute? well i was kind of embarassed because i'm partially deaf in my left hear and didn't want to keep saying-HUH??? If she was on the right side of me I would have heard her clearly. But It was a arkward moment because of how the roar of the bus was making it hard for me to hear her
reboot Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 because of what's usually being asked, it's not really something she needed to knowThen next time do what Krytie suggested and grab her breast. You'll know for sure very quickly.
shadowplay Posted October 12, 2007 Posted October 12, 2007 Well yeah but, guys only talk to girls to hit on them. So true.
