peace_pipe Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 I'm anti-hooker for a number of reasons. Disease, There's just as many non-hookers with Disease.
lindya Posted October 15, 2007 Posted October 15, 2007 excellent point, I had never thought about that before. So in your opinion, you don't look down upon Gus for relying solely on prostitutes to fulfill his sex life, but at the same time, you wouldn't date a guy like Gus either? Am I reading your post correctly? Please let me know. Thanks. Yes, that's right. One of my values is that I don't see sex as something to be traded like a commodity, and I know it wouldn't work for me to go out with someone who saw it differently. Similarly, some guys might take the view that they wouldn't sit in judgement of a woman who'd worked as a prostitute or a lapdancer, but they wouldn't get involved with her either. I appreciate that some guys find it so difficult to relate to women, that they feel going to a prostitute is their only real option in order to get a sexual experience. I also think that when you have the situation where a 40 year old guy is a virgin, and sex is an almighty obstacle for him - then, well, going to a prostitute might help him to get past that obstacle. I may well support him in doing that, but I wouldn't want him as my boyfriend. I just can't imagine myself having much, in common with or being attracted to someone in that situation. Perhaps it's hypocrisy, but I can live with that. I draw the line at getting romantically and sexually involved with people in order to demonstrate my non-judgementalism about them and their lifestyle choices.
