Can someone be so repulsed by another (me) that they would miss their period? Is something fishy here? Or can people in love actually get their body clocks all messed up too? I'm really curious about this. I won't reveal how I know this about my ex, but it's true.

When I say miss, I don't mean it never came. It just never came or was prolonged for a month. Once my ex and I broke up, well she had her period in a matter of days afterwards.

I don't think that you would have had an effect on her period, but thats a guy perspective:o. I just came here to say that knowing when she has a period especially after you break up is well....... kinda creepy IMO.

Assuming your ex wasn't pregnant...

Stress can disrupt a woman's cycle. So can other physical factors like sudden weight loss, medications, etc. If she was on the pill, she could have skipped her "off" week.

Or simply enough, a period can be skipped because the body is just readjusting itself for no particular reason. It'll happen in some women.

This has been bugging me out for about a week now. Knowing when she has her period is not the issue. What I don't understand is why she skipped a month. Can stress, anxiety and unhappiness do this?

Stress will do it. When you two broke up, the stress was released and her body went back into its normal cycle. It happens.

Great way to go guys in feeding my thoughts there's another guy in the picture lol. I have to say though I don't think this girl was pregnant, in fact as I understand it, she's still a virgin.

My take is maybe stress, and she did go on a fitness thing before we got together. She lost like 10lbs or something.

Well, there you go.

That could certainly do it for some gals.

How do you know that she really skipped a period?

Are you so in tune to her body functions that you know when she is going to have her period ?

Maybe her period was just delayed by a few days and you were off by a few days hence you thinking that she skipped a month.

On a side note.. a woman can skip a period for quite a few reasons.. So if she did skip one or had a light period then you are most likely not the reason..

Since I'm not in her body, I don't know for a fact. But I trust the person who told me. It wasn't a few days though, it was 2 weeks at least. She would have these panic attack, stomach cramp things which outwardly could be associated as a sign of a woman having her period, but for her it wasn't the case. At the time however I thought it was her period. I know virtually nothing about periods, but I don't think they last weeks. She never played it up to me either, so I don't think it was as ploy for any reason.

I guess stress, dieting/fitness could be the reason. Though I find it odd she had it a day or two after we broke up

I don't think you had anything to do with the timing...

A woman has a period every 28 days +- a day or so depending on her own cycle whether she is with a guy or not..

Whether she is a virgin or not makes no difference either..

She has those same periods most of her life till she goes thru menopause.

You are putting to much thought into this

Righto, well I had to ask. The reason it stuck with me was because the person who told me was actually concerned. Take that to mean what you like. But concerned in that this was not normal, this was out of the ordinary and so on. A few days wouldn't be a problem, but it was a whole month she missed.

Hmm good point hot123. I don't know. It's an ex, she's on my mind. And frankly after hearing this I didn't know what to think. I just put it out of my mind at the time, but after seeing her today, and how she was feeling and then remembering she was having panic attacks, missing her period and so on, man do I feel loved or what. Either it was all BS and she was fine, or she really was freaking out and in anxiety concerning out relationship.

you mention she lost weight. if her body fat dropped by alot then she could also miss. you need a certain percentage of body fat in order to menstruate regularly. otherwise it becomes hit or miss.

stress is a huge factor as well.
