Author Woggle Posted October 9, 2007 Author Posted October 9, 2007 I told my wife and she has no issue with it.
greengoddess Posted October 9, 2007 Posted October 9, 2007 LOL that is only about an hour drive. Maybe an hour and a half with traffic. That's why your company expects you to make the commute. I would stay over but since you are so close I would invite your wife to meet for dinner on wednesday at a nice halfway point or I would make the drive home on wed. and stay the night with her. No that would not bother me though. Nice for you to relax in a hotel for a week. I'm sure you deserve some relaxation time.
kitkat826 Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 I went to school in New Brunswick (Go Rutgers!). Have fun in my old college town, Woggle!
Ariadne Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Hey, Would it bother you if your spouse left for a week like this for convenience? Oh no. It wouldn't bother me at all. I'd even go pay you a visit in the middle of the week to see how the booth thing is going and to see you. Since it's only a three hour drive and probaby the place and drive is awesome. Maybe take one day off from work and spend the night. Ariadne
Integra Posted October 10, 2007 Posted October 10, 2007 Glad to hear your wife's okay with it.. I think you were given some really good ideas. I especially think the two of you meeting up for dinner is a good one. If my H invited me to meet him like that, I would totally make it worth his while:D

woundedspouse Posted October 18, 2007 Posted October 18, 2007 My DH used to travel ofr work all of the time. As much as I loved him, I was often glad to have a break Unless you have trust / infidelity issues, I see no reason that you should not go and stay at the hotel. If everything is fine in your marriae, it is crazy to commute 6 hours each day unless it is necessary. Maybe your spouse can meet youf or even part of the time and you can enjoy some free time together. I know you will be working, but a late night dip in the hot tub and a bottle of champage certainly couldn't hurt. Good luck wiht your decision.
Unluckilymadlyinlove Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I would miss you but I would completely understand....it only makes sense!
Amiss Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I trust my partner but not other people. Stay at the hotel. 6 hours is too far to drive everyday
tomboy Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 It would not bother me, but I am perplexed as to why you would feel guilty. Is there more to the story that you're not sharing?
