speaking with an ex's friend.

anyone find it hard to talk to your ex's friends? im on aim talking to my ex's friend who actually doesn't know we used to date, but its so rough bc it reminds me of her. *small drip of tear on left cheeks*

I actually enjoy talking to my ex's friends. To be fair, nearly all our friends were mutual, but unlike him, I've chosen to not pretend like people I was close with for years and years stopped existing when we broke up.

 

I just talked with my ex's "best friend" last week- a guy who has even confided in me post-breakup. It helps remind me that they like me for me, too, not just because I was with my ex.

It drives me nuts

 

I've never been good with remaining around people who've hurt me, and that includes other people that remind me of an ex. I mean I wouldn't avoid his friends, but I keep it short and polite.

 

Once it was very nice when 2 ex's ago (and this was a hard breakup for me) his good friend leaned over to me when I was out one night and said, "Don't tell him I ever said this, but he's a complete moron for letting you go. Have a good night." That was pretty kick a**!

One of my close friend (a guy) is my ex's closest buddy! In several days, the ex is going to move in with my close friend. So whenever I talk to my close friend, I have to hear about the ex so I end up very upset and hurt. When my friend realized this, he would leave the ex out in our conversations, but since I know they hang out with each other, whenever my friend talks about going to a club or a bar or a trip somewhere, I know he's going with the ex, and it makes me so upset!!!

 

So I've decided to go NC on the friend as well!
