Long story short...

i'm 27 my Gf is 28. We've been together 6 years. We have never said I love you, but we get along great and never argue over anything. We do have sex from time to time, but I don't believe either of us are really into each other. We act more like roommates than lovers.

With that being said....

I am in school.. as a matter of fact, tomorrow I will be taking my final final and my degree will be complete. In this final class I have met a girl who I've become VERY infatuated with and can't seem to get her off my mind. I haven't felt like this toward someone in a while, which makes it hard to ignore.

I think she is into me, but you never can be 100% sure..

I'm in a pickle... I REALLY want to say something to this girl, but i'm in a relationship, but it isn't going anywhere, but it may be the last time I will see her,.. or have an excuse to talk to her... please advise..

You are not married, are you?

Explore the new girl.

You don't want to be infatuated with a ring on your fever and empty as hell.

I forgot to mention we live together too..

The rule is: ONE relationship at a time.

You can't pursue other women until you end it with your live in girlfriend of 6 years, if that's what you're planning to do.

You have NOTHING to offer this girl in class - NOTHING - while you are still with your gf. What makes you think the girl in class wants to get involved with a guy who is 6 years into a relationship with a live in gf? How are you going to deal with that? Lie? Cheat?

No, not cheat, but maybe try and get her number for the future.

IMO you shouldn't want to end things with your girl because of another... if the other girl was not there or a possibility would u feel the same way.. or are you only thinking like this because you have another option?

Honestly... I just feel like the relationship isn't going to go anywhere. I've thought this for a while, but circumstances prevented me from saying anything.. and I'm certain this is the case for her too. Both of us in school.. We both don't make a lot of money, but together we live comfortably.

This girl in my class may or may not lead to anything.. I will see what happens tonight. I may not be able to stop myself from approaching her since it's the last time I'll be at the campus.

I wouldn't cheat on my GF regardless, but this girl just makes me want to get off my ass in this dead-end relationship ..

  1. Chances of ANYTHING happening with this girl from class are remote.
  2. What kind of school has it's final exams the first week of October? Semester systems only began the first week of september and quarter systems have only been going for 1 week.
  3. Circumstances have not prevented you from breaking up with her. COWARDICE has.

If you know something is going nowhere, as soon as you feel that way, you owe it to your gf to break it off. How selfish can you be? Staying with her out of convenience! If you care about her, you would end it TONIGHT and deal with the consequences and drama. Why? Because if you cared about her, you would want her to heal, move on, and find someone who could give her the relationship she deserves, because you are not that person. Sorry brah, but your reasons for not breaking up with her can be found on a bottle in aisle 9 next to the weak sauce.

Whatever your reasons, your actions will speak louder in this instance. There is no way you can get this girl's number "just in case," while still living with your girlfriend of 6 years, and not look like a jerk.

If the relationship isn't working, get out of it. This is your wakeup call.

What future? Like, this weekend when you call her so she remembers who you are? Or next week when you text her to say hi. Or later next week when you invite her out for coffee?

Or are you going to hold on to that phone number until AFTER you break up with your girlfriend and move out?

Believe me, that girl in class is going to think you're the biggest loser when you tell her you have a 6 year relationship with a live in girlfriend. And if you don't tell her, then she's going to think you're a biggest loser AND a pig when she finds out you lied.

Just let it go. Talk to your gf and tell her how you feel about your relationship.
