NC377 Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Supposed to be meeting someone tonight, but we never confirmed the time. I do not really feel like going since the last time we saw each other, it wasn't really that much fun. I'm thinking that to be polite though, I should send an e-mail saying: Haven't heard from you so I'm not sure if we are meeting tonight. Then something about meeting another time if I don't hear back by a certain time. The question is should I really even bother?
Chesleyfan Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 Well, I think it would be nice to at least them know that you won't make it out. I know I'd be pretty upset if somebody suddenly bailed on me... although I would also make sure timing was clear, too. Be the polite person in this and let 'em know.
Author NC377 Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 Thanks. I don't like to bail on people cause I don't like it when people do that to me. I guess I'm just not sure if this guy is one of those people who likes to keep you waiting until the last minute. I agree though, I should just confirm instead of waiting around.
Trialbyfire Posted October 1, 2007 Posted October 1, 2007 It depends on why you want to send the message. The impression I'm getting is that you're a little miffed at him for not contacting you sooner, so you want to send him the message to get a reaction from him. I wouldn't bother doing anything. If he doesn't contact you in the timeframe that's acceptable for you, I would just decline his invitation if he does call later. Some people value the small courtesies in life, others plow through life oblivious. For someone not to take the time to firm up a date at least a day before, doesn't speak well for them or their interest.
