Well im currently in my 2nd year at uni in the UK, and i know this girl in the first year doing the same course as me. She's been at a nearby uni doing a foundation course, and before that i think she came from Greece. I thinks she's quite nice, and she seems like she quite likes me. We haven't spoken that much yet, mainly because she is still struggling a bit with her english.

My question to you guys/girls, is if you met an exchange student who struggles with english, would you still date them? Would you be able to date someone if you struggled with conversations?

Im not being racist at all, im just worried that if i do date her, we wouldn't be able to talk about anything serious because she wouldn't be able to understand me at times.

I'm surprised you're asking this question because it's a personal preference. For me, I need someone who is a clear communicator. Whether it's a language limitation or a personality trait, it doesn't matter.

Also, if you start dating an exchange student, they do have to go home sometime.

Heck yeah I would! Who could be more interesting? Even if her english isn't the best, I'm sure you'll be able to understand each other, it might just take longer. That's not bad is it? You'll just have more to talk about on other dates. If she can handle courses at your level, surely she can handle communication at your level. At least get to know her a little. Also, accents are almost always sexy!

Isn't love the universal language ?...

I personally would not date an exchange student.. to me that is dating someone who is almost unavailable and they will go back home and have to end the relationship at some point.
