Magnatolia Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Hi all, I've noticed, when I initiate a lunch with a female coworker, a couple of them thank me afterwards. One has said things like 'thanks for lunch. I had a great time' or 'thanks for today, it was fun'. It seems to be 2 in particular. One of them I've had lunch with her at least half a dozen times so it's not like we're strangers. Do I make anything of this? I know they're not interested in a relationship with me, and one has made it clear that we're just work friends. So does this mean anything?
Liquinn Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 No, but, can't you just make one thread instead of making more? ;\

Tony T Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 So does this mean anything? It means they're polite, something a bit rare in today's world. If politeness were common, you would not be curious about why people say "thank you." hahahahahahahahahahahah (One day you'll understand why this is so amusing.)
Citizen Erased Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Because not everyone has the manners of a pig. Wht kind of people do you have in your life that you question someone's motives for saying thank you? 1
SoHotZanzibar Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 It could also mean you have a shot with them! I don't think I have ever been rejected asking out a woman that was polite to me. This is some women's way of flirting.

Being polite doesn't mean anything. Unless you have serious flirting and eye contact to back it up. If not, then you just got yourself some friendly coworkers and that's all. It sounds like nothing more to me.
