I get jealous very easily.

How do you guys deal with it?

i really do think that some folks are wired more or less jealous. but then experience also plays a role. I too have jealous tendencies. So far, the best i have come up with is that I:

1) try my best to remind myself that this is a fact of my personality, so when I feel jealous TRY to step back and remind myself that this is MY issue. So, think- is the thing that's making me jealouse something outside of the realm of something that could exist in my own interaction, in my own innocence.

2) talk to my SO about it often, but acknowledge that; this is something I'm working on, and at the same time- want your help with it. What I mean hear is, if I matter- and I'm telling you this is me, you should care to participate in dealing with it. there's alot that your SO can do if he/she cares to.

but, unless your SO gives real objective cause to create a level of suspicion, I think its important to keep the perspective that a jealouse nature is the issue of the holder.

*caviet- don't confuse this post to suggest that SO's who are actually do/say things that just dont jive- should be excused b/c you are jealouse. sometimes the age old phrase is dead on, "if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck....."

The better you feel about yourself, the less you will be jealous of someone else.

When you are having a jealous attack, think of all *your* good qualities in your mind or write them down.

Good self-esteem, with appreciation for your own wonderful qualities, is the cure to being jealous of others.

I think the best way to cope with jealousy is by TRUST. If you trust , there is no point of jealousy...:D..Good Luck
