Did you already say yes? If so it's kind of pointless to ask. If you haven't said yes the appropriate reply if you don't want to see eager is to say "I have plans that night..." and see if he suggests an alternative date. Yes, this is kind of game playing but it's a good gauge as to their interest.

I havent responded he left a vm. I think he is playing games (or at least not being communicative of what he is feeling) but i dont blame him cause we have only been dating a month and we spent a bunch of time toghether. So even though I dont have anything to do tomorrow I should say i am busy, right?

Go with your gut instinct on this one. If you don't want to "seem" desperate just tell him you have plans and then go out with friends. Any relationship that starts off like a rocket will surely come down like one.
