lonely12 Posted September 27, 2007 Posted September 27, 2007 Well-Me and my gf dated 3 1/2 years. We started dating when she was in 9th grade and I was in 12th grade. We dated all the way through until she got into her 2nd week of college. I love her, and I thought everything was going to be great. I have been in college for 3 years and we made it work then. She is only in college an hour away and I could see her a great deal. This isnt the problem. At first, she told me she wanted to take a break. For the first couple weeks after this, I begged, cried, pleaded to her. It didnt really help much, so I read about giving her space for like 30 days and this is what I was going to try to do. However, after around a week, she finally called me. I thought this was going to be a good thing, but it wasnt. She called, we talked for a minute, and then she said "Ive been thinking about this, and I dont feel any different, I really think we should date other people right now." Well- I tried to be understanding and act like I understood and all. The thing is, I know that a guy came to visit her at college this past weekend before she called me and told me this and I am pretty sure she kind of likes him. But he doesnt even go to school with her, he lives in my town. I know they never did anything when we were dating though. Anyways, she said "you never know what may happen in the future, but I dont know what else is out there because you were my first everything, and Ill never know what else is out there if i dont find out and see." I mean I guess she has a point, but I love her and It just sucks. I really want to be back with her. I know I could marry this girl and live happily ever after if she decided to be with me. But I also know that I cant sit around just crying and hurting inside forever when she is out dating and all. I just hope she realizes she wants to be with me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Aintayankee Posted September 28, 2007 Posted September 28, 2007 The Truth is that it doesn't matter what else is out there. She thinks she will never know other people, and thats good and all, but nothing matters, we just have feelings and that is it. Females do that all the time, annihilate your heart by choice. It is bad even by accident. What you can do: Take philosophy in college Get a huge lifted truck, put confederate flag on antenna or sticker on the doors, then blast brutal/technical death metal. Burn exotic inscense in the ashtray or consol. Be a hardcore philosopher. Artists/Songs for your pain: "Can't you see" Marshall Tucker band "Send the pain below" Chevelle Visceral Bleeding "My Fever" Insision Spawn of Possession Dying Fetus Aborted Internal Suffering "M^6" Car Bomb "Dying Divinity" Incantation Good luck. Sorry for the pain. Don't think she will ever come back though. I understand the pain though. Evolution brings adolescents together to mate at a young age, so humans wouldn't go extinct. That is why the first love relationship is most intense, so you will stay together and raise the offspring. It is just the unique human mating strategy. Would be nice if it were still simple caveman times.
