DeanPerformer Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I don't know what to do, I asked this girl out a while ago, and with my new job keeping me on my toes during the week and weekends left only for bear hunting, I've kept her waiting for sometime now, but as far as I can tell she's still looking forward to whenever we go out. this coming weekend I will be on the road for 5-6 hours alone and am thinking of calling her and chatting for a bit till I begin to lose reception. The only problem is, I dont want to talk so much with her that when we actually go out I've got nothing to speak to her about.

Author DeanPerformer Posted September 27, 2007 Author Posted September 27, 2007 yeah you probably dont understand, I applied for one bear tag about 5 years ago and finally got one now, and only have like 4 weekends (one Saturday), to hang out with my dad and grandad this year for hunting, you know, and I really owe it to my father. I havent told her specifically why I have been busy on my weekends and saying I'm going to my cabin, but if she were to ask for a reason, I will tell her.

If you can only chat with a lady for an hour or so before you run out of things to discuss, you are hardly a candidate for a long term relationship or a lifetime conversation. You've got a LOT to learn. Go kill your bear and then start working on your conversation skills. Listen to Rush Limbaugh...he gets paid $200million for ten years to talk constantly for four hours a day on radio. Start practicing talking to ladies, different people. Geeze, you'll have a LOT of problems dating somebody if you can't talk to them more than a short time. That's the easy part..... On your cell, yeah, you can get out of range or claim your battery is dying...but in person, day to day, it's a little different. Good luck!

I'm sure the bears will appreciate you owe it to your father ... Anyway my personal opinions aside. Just call her, start talking about what is going on in her life or yours and conversation should flow from there. Things will come up in conversation to continue with. I still think though, if you are serious about dating and dating her specifically then you will have to make the time. If you keep putting off a date with her she will think your making excuses and aren't interested.

You've got a LOT to learn. its not really that, but I am also not a phone person, i only talk with people on the phone to meet somewhere, my longest phone call is not even 5 minutes long. I can hold a conversation, but Im just more comfortable face to face with the person
