Woggle Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 As you all know my ex is locked up for trying to shoot me and she will be released from prison on October 9th. I heard yesterday that she is going to stay with her family that moved to Florida recently. I can'yt even explain the sigh of relief that I felt after hearing this news. I was dreading the day that she was released from prison because if she tried to shoot me once she is capable of doing it again and I didn't want to have to constantly be looking over my shoulder. Despite everything that she put me through i still don't wish her any harm but I am glad she will be far away. This feels like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder.
underpants Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 That is good news. Will the authorities inform you when she does in fact move? Will they inform you if she relocates from there? Sometimes (I have heard) you need to contact the authorities to make sure. She may have spent time in prison but I wonder if she has addressed the issues that led her there? I know that is not your concern, but as a victim to her instability...it would worry me. Florida will be an extended punishment for her. (no offense to lovely people in FLA)
Author Woggle Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 I will have to speak to the police but I am sure I will be informed. I doubt that she addressed the issues because when I look back there were warning signs even early on that I did not notice. She needs serious help or else she will probably do the same thing to another guy in Florida. I am just glad to have her away from my wife and I so we can live in peace.
underpants Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Yea, That would be a relief. To know that she is living far far away. You might want to plan a little vacation around the 9th. Celebrate with your wife and get away. (just in case she wants to say goodbye). If you speak to the authorities ask them for the contact info to the authorities in Fla. You want to check and double check and occassionally follow up. ....Sometimes they don't go where they say they are going. Sometimes the victims are not notified as they should be. (I watch too much court tv)
Author Woggle Posted September 26, 2007 Author Posted September 26, 2007 We already took a lot of vacatiom time to go to Japan this past summer but maybe we can go somewhere for a weekend. If she does decide to stay here I will get a restraining order but I have a feeling she will go. Her family is down there and down here she has nobody. We had mutual friends who took my side during the whole and were disgusted her so she has alienated many people.
