Looking for some insight on my latest dating debacle.

I've known this guy for more than a year through work (we don't work in the same office though). About six months ago, I noticed he was taking more of an interest in me, nothing too obvious or blatant, but clear attempts at making an effort of know me, like coming to my bday party, talking to me exclusively at work events, etc.

A month ago, we were at a coworkers party, and I started to think "maybe i like this guy." At the end of the night he kissed me, but I got flustered and rushed off. whoops! But I rectified the faux pas by emailing him and saying i wanted to see him again. He replied saying he was going on vacation, but wanted to hang out when he got back.

Never heard from him when he got back, but he randomly showed up to another work thing, knowing I would be there -- there was absolutely no other reason for him to be there. When he walked in, he saw me and walked to the other end of the bar. I eventually went to go talk to him, and he seemed very nervous and fidgety! Eventually, conversation was great, we ended up going by ourselves to another bar and 4 hours later, he walked me home and we madeout for a long time in front of my door, and he went home.

I call him three days later; I figured it was my turn to put forth the olive branch, and now I haven't heard from him in four days. What gives?! This is a guy who has been progressively pursuing me for the last six months, and I've known him for over a year. My gut instinct is that he actually genuinely likes me, but his actions say otherwise.

Should I give it a week and try to contact him again, or called this a lost cause and move on. I think we could really date and have fun.
