spookie Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I met a guy through some friends at a bar last weekend. We had a crazy night together, went a little too far physically, but seemed to click. He called me yesterday and we have a date on Friday. Well, I stupidly looked at his photos on facebook. And then, even more stupidly, I googled him. And now I'm intimidated. He's ridiculously attractive, popular, athletic, and intelligent. Basically, all the qualities I am looking for. I wish I didn't know, so I would have an easier time being myself instead of trying to be someone he might like. I want to just have a good time, but I can't seem to stop obsessing over the fact that I don't want to fnc7 this one up. I know the more I obsess, the more likely it is that I will, that it's kind of a catch22, but I don't know how to get over it. How do I get over it without resorting to getting smashed beforehand? He was just so freaking cute. And I loved his personality. And he was ammmaazing in bed. And I knew he was smart, but it turns out he's a lot smarter than I thought, which makes him all the more attractive because he was not the least bit snobby about it.
Krytellan Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I don't understand, you had to Google him to find out he's cute, athletic, and smart? If you're truly intimidated, then this spells out disaster. For now, just relax and see what happens. It's only a first date after all. There is no reason to be stressing about about a relationship with this guy yet. So far, you're only a one night stand. Just enjoy the date.
Darkzen Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 Yeah seriously, you slept with him (and remembered he was a good), but didn't know he was good-looking and athletic... were you completely blitzed or something?
Lyssa Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 I'm sorry... I'm wondering the same thing. You didn't realise he was good looking before you slept with him... or even after you left or he did?
Nanachu Posted September 20, 2007 Posted September 20, 2007 and what determined he is a lot smarter than you thought? Degree? It means nothing.
