sorry if my typing is a bit sporadic...im tired but here goes...

 

ok, so i met a girl a couple of months ago through a mutual friend.

we got on really well but to be honest i didnt expect to see her again.

 

a couple of weeks later she was at a party the mutual friend had organised and we spent most of the night talking about random stuff and laughing together.

later on i went and sat in the living room on one of the sofas and a few minutes later, she came in with a double duvet and sits next to me putting the duvet over both of us.

next she put her head on my shoulder and looked like she was about to cuddle up to me before hesitating and sitting up again.

 

after sitting chatting for a while, 2 of our friends who were dating split up and i we ended up both going off to try and talk to each of them and when we got back, someone had fallen asleep on the sofa.

with nowhere to sleep we ended up sat in the kitchen talking for the next 5 hours which is unusual for me because im usually real shy around girls i like and cant hold a conversation for that long.

9am i decided to go home to sleep and as i went to leave she grabbed me and hugged me.

 

another time at another friends house, i was sat against the wall and she was sat at the end of the bed. i offered to swap seats which we did. 2 minutes later she asked the person next to her to move and told me to go and sit by her where we sat talking for a while.

 

ive also had 2 friends come up to me and say "whats the deal with you 2? she blatently likes you" and another came up and basically told me he knew i liked her because of my "body language".

 

anyway, nearly the end now lol...

 

last friday we went to another party at the same mutual friends house and everything was going well until one of my best friends wrongly thought she was giving him evil looks and because of that shes now fallen out with both him and some of her best friends and its looking unlikely that she is going to be at any more parties or even coming out with us on weekends etc.

 

monday i spoke to her on msn and she asked what she had done wrong to which i said i didnt know because at the time, i didnt know what it was about. i also told her i didnt want to fall out with her because of what a few of my friends thought and i almost fell out with my best mate for not wanting to get involved (although to be fair, he was drunk - but still no excuse).

 

she replied by saying that she didnt really care about any of them anyway and the only one of us she likes is me.

after i spoke to her she sent me a really sweet email simply saying "thank you :] x"

 

anyway, so i really want to tell her i like her but i really cant tell if she's just being friendly or if she actually does like me. it's a bit odd for a girl to hang around a whole group of people she doesnt like because of 1 person who she only likes as a friend. even my friend said that the way she acts around me is totally different to how she acts around other people.

 

i really dont want to screw this up because ive never felt so comfortable around a girl before.

if im wrong, then i could lose her friendship, but if we were to start dating, it'd make things between me and my best mate (who im in a band with) a bit uncomfortable since i know he doesnt like her and she doesnt like him.

 

normally id just give up and move on but no matter how hard i try i cant stop thinking about her and ive actually lost whole nights of sleep over it.

 

anyway, please help!

its not just whether or not she likes me, its how am i going to tell her?

 

by the sounds of it, i dont think she is going to be friends with the people she fell out with for a pretty long time if at all. that means she isnt going to be around at the weekend which is the only real time i get to see her since shes in college and lives in the next town.

 

on top of that, if we were to get together then its going to cause a lot of friction between me and some of my best mates. as i said as well, im in a band with one of them and i dont want to have to choose between the band and a girl. I WANT BOTH!!! lol

 

why cant life be simple for once???

She's definitely into you.. I wouldn't do anything like that to a guy I didn't like, unless he was my best mate for years..

 

Just try it, I'm sure it won't be a big problem if you're already 21 - I'm assuming your friends will be mature about the whole thing. Don't mix up the social groups, that's all. Your friends should be able to understand, but you know them better than I will!

i had a glimmer of hope earlier though when the girl who was the mutual friend we met through said she didnt want to fall out with her. at least theres a chance they'll be friends again and that can only be good for me.

 

thanks for the replies though, it took me so long to find a site like this where i can just let rip with my problems and let random people give there opinions lol

to be honest i kind of expected this to be most forums where people just get slagged off lol

 

im seeing "mutual friend" tomorrow so im gonna talk to her and get her to sort things out between the 2 of them, at least then ill be able to see her at parties and stuff and see where things go...

TRUST me this happened to me so many times. The little "does she like me" thing. It's always YES go tell her how you feel when you see her.

i spoke to her last night on msn and i said shes got to sort it out with "mutual friend" coz the past few weekends havent been the same without her around. i told her to speak to her coz mutual friend can be really stubborn but unfortunately she being just as stubborn so i guess im gonna have to bang their heads together and sort it out myself lol

 

although i did give her my mumber and shes gonna ring me friday night so i can go out and meet up with her. at least im gonna be able to see her. i think i might just flirt a bit and see how she reacts although my flirting skills arent exactly amazing lol
