ijustwannago Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 I came across the 'shack' sometime in the last two weeks. I just want to thank you for your postings and advice on healing. i have so far to go. for some reason the only way i can do anything is to disassociate. for the last three days i haven't even left my room. i'm not ready to post it all out but i'm hurt and it's affecting all of my life. reading posts on the stages have been helpful. and the no contact thing is hard but i know it's better for me. i will not be the 'crazy-ex'. my highs and lows are alarming. i'm just glad to know that i'm normal and in the grand scheme of things i'll be ok. did anyone get really depressed? i was walking/jogging but had to stop due to shin splints. it seems kike my ups and downs got worse after that. no exercise, not hungry, just sleepy, this wierd zombie-esque state. thanks all.
dantheram Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 i got dumped about 2wks ago and ive been on a basturd rollercoaster ever since. one minute im up and happy the next i feel like ****e. also i go into the zombie state quite alot and that sucks. i really hope its gets better soon but i still think about her alot and get upset. time will heal i suppose but after 5yrs together its hard!
frd150 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Exercise creates endorphins which seem to help depression. How about getting out to the gym. Do some weight lifting or ride the stationary bike. I went through the same depression, the type that will put you down for the count. God, it was bad. It will end I promise. Get out and work on yourself and find things to look forward to like a trip, hanging with friends or a date even.
justme880 Posted September 19, 2007 Posted September 19, 2007 Yeah, you're perfectly normal. I've been through a few breakups myself, and every single time, I get depressed. The good news is there is light at the end of the tunnel, so hang in there. Keep yourself busy... spend time with friends/family, work out, take a class, etc. Good luck!
