This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Do you have a source or a link that states that? Where did you hear that? Damn, I'll have to fish it out from somewhere. Give me a minute.
Curmudgeon Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I think Alexander Hamilton was sexy though. I would have done him. He's a distant uncle of mine, back quite a few generations. He had a rather unique shape to his mouth, especially the upper lip, which has very obviously been handed down to my father, my uncle and me, as well as my sons. Interesting enough, the mixed-race abolitionist William Hamilton who claimed to be Alexander's son, or one of them (he had 10 children with his wife), is buried here in the old town cemetary. And here I thought I had no connection to this place. I won't comment on the "doing" part.
IpAncA Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Ip, I don't know..I was never into that look even in the 80's. I like a more clean cut looking man. Okay well maybe not then.
directx Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I like shoulder length beyond mostly. Very few women look good with short hair IMO. I have a hair cut you can set your watch by! (Which is a term I never understood. If anyone can tell me who said this I would be impressed! (I know btw))
burning 4 revenge Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 About why men like long hair on women: I'll be pedantic and attribute it to the simple theory of natural selection. The natural mating instinct is to pick the healthiest, most fertile-looking partner. The woman with healthy (and therefore long, in the old days) hair, indicates that her hormones (estrogen in particular) are at a healthy level. Which in turn indicates the ability to reproduce.you look good with long hair, but you would look really stunning with short hair i think
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Do you have a source or a link that states that? Where did you hear that? I'm sure there are plenty of articles explaning it in detail, but I'm taking the quick and easy route and giving you this article - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_attractiveness Scroll down to the part where "Determinants of female attractiveness". Healthy hair is mentioned as part of what makes a female attractive. The article cites this fact from a work by David Buss - The Evolution of Desire. I think it's draws from Darwin's theory of sexual selection.
IpAncA Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I like shoulder length beyond mostly. Very few women look good with short hair IMO. I look better with shorter hair. Longer hair makes me look younger and less attractive. But not when I have it all done up with curls and such.
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 you look good with long hair, but you would look really stunning with short hair i think Aww thanks.. . You think so? Although I'm a little iffy about cutting it too short, since I'm not a very tall / big person. I'll end up looking like an elf.
Touche Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 He's a distant uncle of mine, back quite a few generations. This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 TTSP Long hair is better:) Ahahhahaha. Thanks. What a dilemma, though. Long or short?
Touche Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Short hair can look good on women, especially if she has nice eyes You're just saying this because you want a woman who looks like a man trying to look like a woman, isn't it?
Curmudgeon Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Well, isn't that interesting? Hmmm, this explains a lot. Pray tell! Inquiring minds want to know!
directx Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 You're just saying this because you want a woman who looks like a man trying to look like a woman, isn't it? Sinead O'Connor looked pretty good. So did that girl in the first Star Trek movie.
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 You're just saying this because you want a woman who looks like a man trying to look like a woman, isn't it? Oh come on Touche. You'll look good with short hair too. So the above assumption is negated.
Road Rage Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I`m suspicious Sinead O`Connor escaped from Roswell:lmao:
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 I`m suspicious Sinead O`Connor escaped from Roswell:lmao: I bet she still owns that pair of striped pajamas.

Road Rage Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 If they are hot with no hair on their head things can only get better with hair:cool: Long beautiful hair!!!
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Wow! You guys are brutal! How about Natalie Portman from V for Vendetta or the chick from bow wow wow?both hot with short /no hair Natalie Portman looks good anyway, with or without hair. I guess it depends on the person's facial features, overall. The more symmetrical the better. And the shape of the head is important too, if she's going for a crew cut / bald.
burning 4 revenge Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Wow! You guys are brutal! How about Natalie Portman from V for Vendetta or the chick from bow wow wow?both hot with short /no hair you forgot rosie odonnell with her flock of seagulls hair
Curmudgeon Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 THAT is the question, indeed. WHICH hair. Ummm! Which gender?
This_Too_Shall_Pass Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Ummm! Which gender? *snort* Both. Thou art evil, Curm.
redfathom Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 This is kind of sad, I have long (mid back) thick naturaly wavy/curly hair which takes a lot of maintenance. So I actully have to plan my day around washing my hair. Since it's curly I only wash it 2-3 a week and I usually straighten it. It takes 7 hours to air dry so I have to wash it a night usually. So depending on what I am doing I have actually had to not make plans with people so I could wash my hair. Sometimes I have had enough and I will let my hair go curly and not brush it for two to three days, haha. I do get compliments on it through. I am at least glad it's versitle.
Touche Posted September 15, 2007 Posted September 15, 2007 Pray tell! Inquiring minds want to know! Sometimes it's best for inquiring minds to just use their imaginations!
