chocolate_boy Posted September 5, 2007 Posted September 5, 2007 Having been a member of this board for about 5 years now, i'm going through my 3rd (well 4th but one wasn't so bad) breakup, the most recent girl has lived with my for a year, but we've now broken up, sadly still living together, but she's got a new place, off next week. I won't go into the full story now cos my energy is low, but good to know, even though i haven't looked much at this site in a year or so, this is almost a routine of mine, and I know i'll be spending a lot of time here over the next few months. Just glad to know you're always here for me, even though there are new and different faces here, its comfortable to know you're here. Even though its my 3rd breakup in the time i've been on the board, i'm guessing it never gets any easier This time prob harder, as i have moved 1000 miles away from all my friends and family, currently my now-ex girlfriend is the only person I know in this city, guess I need to find ways to meet new people now.
Curious139 Posted September 6, 2007 Posted September 6, 2007 I'm sorry to learn that you are in pain and interested that it doesn't get any easier. I suppose that is normal because otherwise we'd all grow hard cynical shells and that wouldn't be true to our nature. I feel for you. As you realise, you need to get out and be among people. That might not sound easy but there are always opportunities. Good luck.
patwheel Posted September 7, 2007 Posted September 7, 2007 Sorry to hear about your mishap man! But, we've been there, and I guess that's how life is....full of experiences and we're there to live them and one day these experiences will turn into something that we can call good memories. They're part of us, makes us a fuller person and we continue on our journey. The good one will come around, don't let one girl let you down, plenty around! I know how hard it is to be in a city by yourself, far away from everyone, but the down times make you a lot stronger, just dont let them get to you. Keep your life, your outings, and you will soon see that everything will be great again. Good luck to you, and keep up!
