This is only a guess but I would GUESS that wax would clog the hair folicle from breathing and would kill it, leading to shedding. If there is alcohol in the ingredients, you shouldn't put it near the roots as it would dry it up and kill it, again I am guessing. I've heard that using hairsrpay makes hair fall out (contains a lot of alcohol). I don't know for sure though but wax I would guess is safer than gel, not sure which you are referring to.

i use wax and anti-dandruff shampoo, will shampoo help to prevent hair loss?

No hair product will contribute to hair loss. The only reason you experience hair loss is either a medical condition ( radiology or chemo ), your hair follicles are programmed (from birth) to shut down at a certain time and age. Gel will not make your hair fall out or thin.

I think shampoo will help prevent hair loss, if you are a wax user, because it will remove the residue at the roots which clog up the pore not allowing the roots to breathe, suffocating them to death, along with the rest of the hair folllicle. It won't obviously prevent the genetic type of hair loss though.

It's kind of like a tree. if you cover up the base of a tree trunk (scalp) over the roots, the tree dies. If you were to cover the leaves, then it wouldn't get sunlight and be unhealthy too, eventually shedding and slowly dying off. But I could be totally wrong about the hair products causing hair loss. I've heard hair straightening products do though which is why some salons don't do it.
