I met my late husband when I was 22 and it was like we had been best friends for a 1000 yrs, we got married 24 days later, and the only reason it ended was his drug and alcohol addiction. What I felt for him, was some of the purest romatic love I have ever felt, but I lost respect for him as time went by. I have been in infatuated love, and comfortble best friend love too. I think there are so many shades and flavors to love and it depends primarily on where YOU are in your life, and emotional development ( or lack there of) more than the other person . make any sense ?
LoveLace Posted August 31, 2007 Posted August 31, 2007 When it comes down it, I think true love can easily mean different things to different people. We can try to come up with a general statement to describe it, but that still might not apply to everyone.
