Capricciosa Posted August 30, 2007 Posted August 30, 2007 I have this meeting in a few hours with this woman who is possibly going to work with me. It is at a bar where there will be a show later on put on by a band I like. She told me she can't stay for the show, and normally I don't have an issue with being in a bar alone if I'm there for music. Nonetheless, I asked a few friends to come join me, and they can't... So here is the problem. It occurred to me after the fact that a couple of the guys I had dates with that went nowhere (they were interested then not interested, they called and then stopped calling or didn't respond to my calls) may very well be there tonight because they also know this musician. Now I'm wondering if I want to be in this bar by myself and chance running into them. I have no way of knowing that they'll be there, but it takes some of the glow out of the evening knowing one of them might. So go and deal with it if it happens, or stay home and feel deprived because I've wanted to see this band all summer?

If they do show, which you don't know that they'll do, you can just excuse yourself to go to the ladies' room or get a drink. If you feel really uncomfortable, you can always leave. But why miss a good band on the chance that one of these guys might be there? Have fun & enjoy the show! I've gone to see bands on my own & sometimes you end up hanging out with another loner or a group of folks. If that happens, it'll make it even more comfortable if you run into one of the guys.

Why deprive yourself because of those *sses! They are the ones who should feel awkward anyway! You may not even see them and will have a great time! If you go you will the one having a good time looking sexy without them anyway!! Who knows you might meet someone cute there you can rub in their face!! Hee Hee
