I work in a school and am attracted to one of my coworkers but can't figure out why. This guy is pretty old compared to me and married. One day I just noticed that I was attracted to him. Has that ever happened to anyone? I would die of embarrassment if any of my coworkers ever found out. He's a nice guy and all and was probably good looking in his younger days, but I don't get it. All of a sudden, he started looking pretty good to me. I mean are secret workplace crushes that common?

Well they kinda start out like a secret workplace crush but then it snowballs into something that is much more serious. I started out that way and now years later, I'm trying to live my live without thinking about him every minute of the day. It's consumming my life and it is wrong. So if you don't want a relationship with this person, it's best that you back off now.

This is very true. Don't get too caught up in it. The more you do, the more you let it get out of control and then it does consume your life. I seriously fell for someone (who was in a relationship, off limits because he was in a position of authority, 9 yrs older, totally NOT my type, etc.) I mean it made no sense. But now, thinking back, I think I fell for him because I was lonely deep down, hadn't dated in awhile, was flattered by the littlest attention he paid to me. I mean who doesn't like feeling wanted? But, if you dwell on it too much, it can come around and really end up hurting you in the long run. It's best to stay away from that situation.

I've had a workplace crush, and we just acknowledged it last night. I don't know how it will work out but so far it seems that we will be able to carry on the "other life" inside of work. It's really a fun deal. Have I mentioned I love this town?
