I get why LB expressed her views and I do respect people of different faith and religion, but we are talking about an OW forum here that has no room where following any type of commandments are concerned. There is a spiritual forum for those comments.

 

When someone is of a particular faith, they could very well ask the poster to join them there. Reality is, everyone has their own reasons for doing what they do and faith has nothing to do with any of it!

 

 

Eh, I don't want to stir the pot anymore than I already have... truly I don't. And I know I am probably about to be bashed to no end for this, but I have to say it...

 

I am a Christian. I always have been. I've never been one of those "shove it down your throat" Christians, though. I just believe in the Bible, and I believe that Jesus Christ is my Savior.

 

During my time as an OW I definitely strayed from my faith. I became somebody that is completely opposite of my core being. I could feel the distance between God and myself and I knew He didn't want me going down that path. I knew something wasn't right about the situation the entire time I was in it and being lied to, but I continued on. Since the ending of that relationship I have thrown myself back into my faith completely and I have NEVER felt better in my life. I feel so much more at peace about everything (not all the time, mind you, I do have my moments, as does everyone ) and just feel like a HUGE burden has been lifted off of my shoulders. But I truly don't think I would have been able to deal with the end of that "relationship" and the whole situation in general if it were not for God. I will always stand up for that belief because that is what I believe to be the truth.

 

But I will NEVER get into an argument with someone who is of another faith than I am about theirs. While I do not agree with other religions I do respect them 100%.

 

I am NOT trying to cause a religious fight. Just adding in my 2 cents and expressing my own view. Thanks.

I agree that we should not make fun of another's religion, if that is what she believes then great we could all believe in GOD to different degrees or not but that is a choice for each of us to decide.

 

I think the reason why LB is getting a hard time is because she in all her faith has pushed her beliefs on others who just want some sound advice, not that believing in God is not sound, it is just that not everyone can be like her.

 

Posh is a OW like yourself, and as I have said before breaking up is difficult regardless if you are a OW or in any kind of relationship, are we telling those women and men that are not OW or OM to go find GOD, no we are not, do you see what I mean?

It is a parable. I view my opinions, and my opinions includes God, Hope you understand that. you don't have to take my opinions, but hopefully you respect my free will as well. This board is not only for you, but there are many other guests look as well.

God loves people, but hates sins. It is not only a 'book', it is words of God. God gave us a guide book how to live life abundantly, peacefully, rejoicefully. I think you understand 'discipline', yourself is a mother, how you discipline your children? God's laws is like this: if your parents tell you not to smoke drugs, if you do you will be hurt. But choices are yours, if you listen to discipline, you will be fine; if you want to choose to do drugs, ok go ahead, but you will be addictive to drugs, and get hurt. Do you see? It is not your parents are vengeful, it is YOUR OWN CHOICES that hurt you.

I think it would be nice to try and leave the religious debate out of it, because if you take religion out of the equation, many of us actually still agree on many points, and it is important in a forum like this that THOSE points are the ones coming across, and that they aren't getting clouded by side issues such as the existence of a god..
