Alexandra-Girl Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 I don't know what "shots" you are talking about, because to my knowledge, you can't be immunised against any STDs. It doesn't matter is some countries regularly test for STDs or not, you can get them whatever nationality, gender, class or sexual orientation you are. Prostitution is a high risk occupation with regards to STDs regardless of which country you are from, however I agree some do countries have better sexual education systems in place within their healthcare systems. Interestingly, where I come from (New Zealand) prostitution is legal, however, the prostitutes have to be over 18, hold a permit, pay tax, and have mandatory STD checks. Paying for sex is paying for sex though..... whatever way you look at it. *shots* was a euphanism for making sure one is clean - i.e. STD, HPV, HIV tests. The papers were the records. Hope that clears that up. Prostitution is not legal where I am and as a result, our society has less enforcement for making sure that diseases are not spread unneccessarily. Most of our prostitutes are also crack addicts and heroine addicts, which only lends caution to sleeping with one - sharing needles also enhances risks of diseases.

Yes precisely, which makes them just as risky to sleep with as prostitutes from Thailand, malaysia or the Phillipines. You said in your prev post that depending on where a prostitute was from, there was a higher risk, and sleeping with ones from the US was more acceptable.. I don't think this is the case at all. You put yourself at risk if you sleep with a sex worker. Period.
IpAncA Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Just for arguments sake - what if he experimented with drugs in high school or college? does your same stance hold true? I'm 45 - and don't know hardly anyone that didn't give it a whirl once or twice in the 70's or 80's. What does this have to do with the topic?
sb129 Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 What does this have to do with the topic? Maybe its an example of how people do do things in their past that don't always transfer to their present?
IpAncA Posted September 2, 2007 Posted September 2, 2007 Maybe its an example of how people do do things in their past that don't always transfer to their present? Okay and I agree with that. However I made it clear how I felt about this subject. Guess some can't handle it when they agree with someone and others don't.
InLimbo2 Posted September 3, 2007 Posted September 3, 2007 That reply was so long ago lol - but if I recall correctly, it was to someone who said that if he'd done it before, it was a clear indicator that he'd do it again - which isn't always true. What does this have to do with the topic?
