Is a Guy supposed to receive a email like this from his platonic female friend?

But why can't females do that when they are first meeting a guy? Instead they play games and don;t say anything. Now that I put it out there that we can be platonic friends, she feels the need to say I'm sorry i haven;t called you. I don;t think she would call a girlfriend and say-"Sorry brenda I haven't called you but I been busy". Wouldn;t she just say that when she talked to her the next time?

Look, all girls are different. Plus they don't make much sense to us guys. Thats the way it is. You will kill yourself trying to figure them out.

My advice? Just be yourself.

If you are curious about a girl and how she feels, just ask.

You are trying to crack a nut without touching it. You have to get your hand dirty.

You think WAY too much, buddy. :D

She was just being courteous. Perhaps you've never had a decent friend before, but that's what they do.

I really think you should post a picture.

You know, it could be that now that it's clear that you two are going for a platonic relationship she's simply more comfortable with contacting you. I know that if there's someone that's interested in me but I'm not so much in them I tend to feel kind of awkward about any kind of contact because I don't want to give wrong impressions. Now that all worries about that sort of thing is out of the way, now she can relax and just treat you like she would a friend, which is what you asked for, right?

why is that?

why is that?

Because it would help us all to understand the bigger picture, meaning, the bigger situation (difficulties you're having) - whether it's all personality, or a combination of personality and the way you present yourself.

Or take the opposite approach! Put it ALL on the table!

Hire an orchestra and serenade her out her window! Send her flowers and chocolates and a blank wedding album with a note reading 'we can fill this up later' (chicks love that). Surprise her with airplane tickets for two!

As entertaining as that is to read. I might just run as fast as possible AWWWWAAAAYYYY...

Although DA if you ever do get past the initial contacts enough to find a real connection with a lady. I suggest doing the Say Anything move. You know, stand outside her window with a boom box over your head. That would be hot, funny and cute if played well and at the proper time in the course of the friendship/relationship.

I just did this with one of my girlfriends last week. I emailed her that I was sorry I haven't been in touch and answered some questions about some upcoming things. I met up with her last nite. This is just being polite.

You have the opportunity to try to establish a friendship with someone. Why not met the opportunity half way? You seem, guarded.

who gives a *****? seriously. She emailed an explanation you didn't need. So what? delete, and move on.

I sent her email a hour ago and her reply was-"I'm having a stressful day at work, thanks for thinking of me" HUH?-lol I will just flow with it from here on out, what happens, happens

You seem so hard to please! Sheesh. If a woman is rude, you're annoyed. If she's polite, you're suspicious. What does it take to please you?

So Data, what do you say? What would it take to satisfy you? Ok, don't answer that on second though...I think I already know the answer to that one!

Yes, go flow with the flow.

Hey, this is a guy you were talking about fighting over, earlier today! :D Maybe you'd run away from some other guy!

Methinks the lady doth protest too much. :p

(I cant believe I just used that line)

I was joking with the 'put all of it on the table'.

I mean, you should put it all on the table, but skip the gifts. I just thought an empty wedding book was funny

I wonder what the reaction would be if I carried an empty wedding book along on a first date???

I can imagine....

I think it would be legendary. Put the guys last name on the cover. He would be so freaked he would probably end up here on LS making a thread about how crazy this girl was on a first date.

Either that, or he'll make a thread over analyzing it wondering what it could mean

I wish alpha was here...He'd know what to tell ya!

He would say to delete the email and not talk to her again, because men aren't supposed to be friends with women. He would also say that if you aren't dating her, you shouldn't be wasting your time.

Uhm, direct why is your avatar a pic of me...with a beard? Take that down right now! Goddesses don't have beards.

Sorry, Data...carry on.
