Lishy: " I smoked for 22 years and have not had one in 4 weeks!!!!!!!! I'm so proud of me!"

I'm proud of you, too, Lishy!

Now, just be careful during those times when the habit is bound to pressure you: in the morning with coffee, in the afternoon during lunch break, and in the evening just after sex.

While it's not much to be proud of...I haven't had a smoke in over 24 hours.

My smoking has been a real sore spot in my relationship (SO absolutely HATES IT!).

I crave a cigarette after I eat, when I'm chatting with a friend (in person or on the phone) - have no idea why, and when I'm emotional (listening to a sad song and crying).

I hope I can quit.

Good Stuff! Keep it up!

I've been on and off for over year now after quiting for 6 years following about 7 years of smoking (i know, nothing compared to you). yesterday, my neighbor offered me a smoke while we were chatting outside and i denied....first denial of a smoke in over a year.

hope it doesn't drive you crazy ;)

:DI gave up December 2004, nearly 3 years ago and miss cigarettes every single day. Every other time I gave up, I thought that missing them meant I should smoke.

This time I accepted I was going to miss them forever but that I was saving my life and my kids' parent by not smoking. It worked.

I'm starting again if I'm not dead by 70.:bunny:
