I have witnessed enough to know how it is. Women want men to love them but women don't love men. When women get a man to love them they have won the game and they move on to the next victim.

I was just joking, I don't need to be preached at thanks.

Haha wow. This is certainly not the way I go about things.

You mean 'treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen'?. Nope, not really...

The last person I dated talked a lot on the phone. But he always had tons of stuff he wanted to talk about. It was interesting stuff about various things but I sort of felt like an audience. I don't really remember that we'd go into anything that I brought up too deeply.

He dated other women and sometimes he'd say: "I told you about that, didn't I?" and I'd think...he can't even keep track of who he tells what to. I'm sure that he talked just as much to the others. The guy seemed to need a constant audience.

Even though the conversations were long, I'd hate it that I usually let him end the calls. I would tell myself I would but most often he was in the middle of saying something, so how could I? And besides, I liked talking to him.

So a woman that you are interested in comes in last after sports and the internet? Yikes! Good luck with that! (you're going to need it)

So when I'm in a relationship I'm not supposed to have a OUTSIDE INTEREST??? I'm just supposed to be stuck up under her all the time and eliminate the things in my life that I enjoyed doing before I met her?

to the first post, i would say yes. thats compared to the opposite of a guy calling all the time and the girl is always the one saying she has to go. thats a sure fire way to lose a girl

there is a middle ground though i think

Yea that os what many women seem to want men to do until he actually does it and then he is smothering her.

The Guy who never talks on the phone that long and always saying he is headed out? So if it appears a guy is always busy and in demand does that make you want him more?

I know for me it's different because I felt myself losing interest when this girl only talked to me for 15-20 min verytime we talked. I just felt like it was hard for me to connect with her and that's why i decided not to go on the date because i just felt I didn;t know her. Maybe it's different for women

I'd feel the same as you described there - ie that he and I just didn't connect. As for the popularity bit....well, that doesn't necessarily tell you anything about a person other than that they spend a lot of time out there people-pleasing and making contacts. The fact that a person is popular with other people won't make me like them any more or any less. I can only form a view based on the impact they have on me while I'm spending time with them.
