mousse Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Hello, Me and my ex boyfriend were together during a year and a half. He broke up with me in January because we were in a long distance relationship and it was too hard to bear for him. The last time we spoke, he was very aloof and detached. The break up was really hard on me. We haven't been in contact ever since. I thought a lot during this 7 months of No Contact and I've been able to become a stronger person. Since two months though, I really feel the need to send him a letter that expresses how I feel about the break up. I'm not at peace with how things turned out. I wrote him a lot of letters without sending them and it used to make me feel better, but now it doesn't, it seems that I need more. I don't want him back, and I don't want to start a friendship with him, it's just that the pain doesn't seem to go away. I feel that I need to write him to feel better. Do you think it is a good idea or would it only be an ego boost for him ? thanks

If, however, you're doing so because you're hoping to hear something specific from him, I'd think carefully about sending a letter. You might not like what you hear. If you just feel that you need to say some things without care about the responce, I say go ahead. Just be sure you're being completely honest with yourself on why you wish to do this.
