Woggle Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 By now you all know about my friend going through the divorce and he is quickly turning into a model for how a man should handle having the bomb dropped on him. For those who don'tg know the story here is the thread. http://www.loveshack.org/forums/t120467/?highlight=woggle+friend+divorce Today she tells him that she is done getting cheating out of her system so she will allow him back in her life and he tells her to take a hike. She was on the phone crying and accusing him of not fighting for their marriage. She doesn't even know about his one night stand because he is afraid she will use it in the divorce. This is an example of a man that had the divorcer bomb dropped on him and turned the table so that his soon to be ex is now begging him to take her back. My boy has made me proud.

LMFAO...oh thats a good one...a cheater will "allow him" back in her life. good for him for telling her to shiit and fall back in it. She was on the phone crying and accusing him of not fighting for their marriage. amazing. She cheats, but expects HIM to fight for the marriage. What a loser tramp. She doesn't even know about his one night stand because he is afraid she will use it in the divorce. This is an example of a man that had the divorcer bomb dropped on him and turned the table so that his soon to be ex is now begging him to take her back. My boy has made me proud. Good for him. but question...did he have a one night stand after the divorce was in the works? Or during marriage? Cuz if its the latter, I just lost respect for him...even though I think he should stick to his principles and wait til the divorce is final before hooking up with another woman.
Author Woggle Posted August 15, 2007 Author Posted August 15, 2007 He had a one night stand last week while the divorce is in the works. They are pretty much only married on paper at this point.

I just did a quick read of the thread. Your friend did great!
allina Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 Okay, while that all sounds good I'm confused about one thing. When a relationship or marriage falls apart, and there is NO cheating/wrong doing on either part is the woman always at fault? Sometimes things just end ya know?
Trialbyfire Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 A friend of mine that lives across the street is going through a nasty divorce and it is getting ugly. She cheated on him and left him for another man. She cheated on him Allina so she deserves everything he can throw at her, cow pie and all.

One day I would feel such love and warmth for her, and the next day sheer dismay due to her meanness. After twenty years I've read this a few times in order to remind myself how to deal with her - to protect my own emotions. Borderline personality disorder often leaves those who become intimately involved feeling guilty, helpless, and like they have personally failed. And my xgf has this - and i understand how it works

Ah, okay I guess I could have read that link he provided But I'm still curious what Woggle thinks about a breakup that isn't anyones fault, people just fall out of love.

This rarely happens. Usually one person falls out of love due to neglect or abuse. As for woggle's perspective, well, ahem...anyways...
allina Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 This rarely happens. Usually one person falls out of love due to neglect or abuse. Hmm, not sure I'd agree with that, I though usually the spark fades for one person or the other. But now I'm highjacking. I guess what I mean is that there isn't always a "bad guy" in a breakup/divorce.

Author Woggle Posted August 16, 2007 Author Posted August 16, 2007 Sometimes people just fall out of love but the way she went about it was wrong. She also used to physically abuse him and I taped an episode once so he can use it in court. They were still married when I first moved across the street from him and I would always hear her screaming at him from the top pf her lungs every other night. She was a piece of work and now my friend is glad to have this albatross off his neck. Ever since she left he is the happiest I have seen him. He is working out and getting fit and is also entertaining some business ventures on the shore. He claims he is going to be a player from now on but I think eventually he will find a woman that treats him right. It is funny how much he reminds me of myself after my divorce.
Pyro Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 He had a one night stand last week while the divorce is in the works. They are pretty much only married on paper at this point. I am glad that your friend was able to get out of that predicament, but how would you feel if the roles were reversed? What if the girl was cheated on and while the divorce was in the works, she had a ONS? Something tells me that you would call her every nasty word in the book.
