matwithonet Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 That I've been drinking so much. I don't drink and drive but here it is, 1:30pm and Im drunk as hell. It makes it easier to cope with things. It also gets me to finally sleep. I can't get my sleep schedule back. It's so weird.
tinktronik Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 If you are drinking to cope then there is most likely a problem.
Ssheena Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 Drinking and getting drunk just stuffs down the feelings that you are attempting not to feel and deal with. It also messes up your sleep. I think it is better to feel than not feel.
beautifuldisaster Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 All you're doing is postponing the pain for a little while. Eventually you will have to deal with it....better to now so you can get on with your life sooner. Good luck.
Author matwithonet Posted August 10, 2007 Author Posted August 10, 2007 Well see I deal with it for a couple weeks then I get drunk for a couple weeks and I've been doing this for a three months now. I just can't get out of the cycle.
NightsInWhiteSatin Posted August 10, 2007 Posted August 10, 2007 You can get out of the cycle, if you really want to. You just have to really want to. That urge normally comes when it hits you what a mess you've become...and with you acknowleging it in these posts...i think thats a step. It's never too late, you havent lost.
loveinlife Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 Yeah it is bad. like night says, you can get out of it. First its your sleeping problem then its going to be the alcohol problem. So instead of one, you will have two. Please stop for your own good. The faster to pull away from addiction the better. good luck mat =)
tinke Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 is this a real post??? what do you think??? you are creating a new habit/addiction, one that may be difficult to stop. take a look, talk to any alcoholic and ask if they ever dreamed this is the road a couple drinks (routinely , as you) would take them. you are running from your emotions in a way that may cause more pain in the long run. sure it hurts, but by drinking, the problems will only resurface, you are not dealing with them.
