LoveLace Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 A guy says he doesn't like intimacy. Does it mean he only wants sex, or does it mean he's afraid of committment....not sure I even know what the word means myself....that's how inexperienced I am with real relationships. What's your definition of "intimacy"?
yergawd Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Yes, I'd say if you are sexual together or if this is a new relationship and he's talking about sex. I would say he is looking for a physical non emotional relationship. That is how I interpret it, it sounds like he's not ready/wanting an emotional investment.
whichwayisup Posted August 9, 2007 Posted August 9, 2007 Intimacy is that closeness, which involved the feelings and emotions when one has sex. It sounds like he doesn't want to be emotionally attached or have anyone emotionally attached to him.

When you're intimate with someone, you share of yourself.
Author LoveLace Posted August 9, 2007 Author Posted August 9, 2007 He still seems so bitter about his EX that left him 2 yrs. ago, but I don't blame him, cuz she was cheating, they were in the middle of wedding plans, then she left and married the other guy right away. I guess it can take a pretty long time to get over that-- if ever.

Sounds like he might be afraid of getting hurt again.

Sounds like he might be afraid of getting hurt again. I would imagine. I'm trying to remember that time is probably the only healer, not another woman.
