I don't understand....

I dont understand why it's taking me so long to get over this and to forget. The relationship ended about a month and a half ago. I really liked the girl, we were in a relationship or whatever it was for 6 months. only the first month was great. and then there were weeks here and there were it was fine and stable, but overall the 5 months after the first month was horrible. My friends do say i deserve better, but i dont know what i'm still stuck on. I don't understand why it's taking me so long. My previous relationship lasted a year. And she ended up cheating on me, but i was able to just forget and move on in 2 weeks. well it was only after seeing him and her walk into the market as I was walking out. I don't understand why I can't just forget and move on with this... especially since she hasn't cheated or anything....this feeling sucks.

This is only a guess, but maybe you never truly worked through the emotions of your previous relationship. How did you feel about her? Were you in love with her? Perhaps you avoided the intense emotions involved with the last breakup, pushing them down rather than facing them, and they are being unearthed by this one.....not by this last girl, but by the breakup itself. That's just a guess though.

Maybe? i don't know. It's been over 2 years since that happened and i finally found a good girl to get in a relationship with. well what i thought was a good girl. I don't really know what happened with the girl i dated for a year. After seeing the two of them walk in, all the feelings just left. the hurt, the questions, everything just left and i felt fine. it boggles my mind just as much. I can see that the same feelings are coming back, but i mean what else am i supposed to feel when a break up happens. I guess that's probably why i suspect that the new girl broke up cause of someone else. i'm not sure. im just lost and want to get this over with.
