Gunny376 Posted August 8, 2007 Posted August 8, 2007 Just read Perry's latest post, and just wanted to take a moment to say Thanks for all you've done and do, in making LS happen. For bringing all this collective wisdom, experience, knowledge together. That and putting up with us? LOL! This is a much needed and awesome site. When I was going through my Big D, all so many years ago, it was just me, a fifth of Jack Daniels in an Elvis Decanter and a Fred Flintsone jelly glass, listening to George Jones songs. There's no telling the number of lives that you've turned around, if not outright saved ~ lives turned around, straightened out, brought us all a little closer, raised understanding, compassion, tolerance. Ya' did good! Real good! You made a difference in so many people's lives! You guys ROCK!

When my W moved out I talked to lot of people & not to many have gotten back together, but I did learn people take divorce different ways. One guy I know said he hit the bars, did any woman he could do & just went down hill even more until he finally realized it wasn't getting him anywhere. Others have taken responsibility for there part & even though they still got divorced they learned from it, and made themselves better & I can see that in so many people here on LS, they have used the information & help each of us have been able to use to make things better, not to blame the other person but take responsibility for what they can do..... As Gunny said; yes I am one that am very thankful for LS & the people that are on here, I feel it is what helped me & my W get back together..... Thank you to the people that put this site together & yes because of your efforts it does help people......

The real work on this site is that of members who take their time to give solid, constructive and thoughtful advice to those who seek it. And extra credit goes to those who stay on topic. Many thanks for the above posts. However Tony, without the Mods initiating the site, there may not be a place where this wealth of free knowledge can be obtained by the public. The things people learn, or can learn just by stopping in here, whether they are members or not. Most sites mandate that a person logs in(Not trying to give any Ideas), but, not here. Just think, without this site, there would be no Gunny, Lady Jane, Whichwayisup, no Darth Vader(perish the thought!)
