I have been thinking about sarting my own business on the side for extra money... but always push the feeling aside..

 

Has anyone ever started thier own business any advice would be welcome.

 

Of course it has to be reputable ect. ect.

It's not so hard. There are things you need to consider and paperwork that you need to become familiar with. For alot of people this alone is daunting enough to give up. Once you learn it and get comfortable with the process it really can work to your advantage.

 

I don't know what type of business you are contemplating but research your interests, the market. How will you conduct this business? Do you need a zoning liscense to operate it from your home? Schedule C can be used to deduct expenses and even a portion of your utilities if you have a home center of operation. You might also need to pay taxes differently.

the best business IMO, I mean lucrative, is when you provide a service... then you have no overhead... no stock on inventory... you know...

 

it depends what you like to do... what you're good at...

I wouldn't try for freelance proof-reader if I were you :o

 

My sister-in-law makes some decent beer money with a shop on ebay. She sells womens and childrens clothes.
