Trialbyfire Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Each person decides what they're willing to accept for a sexual partner. I can't imagine doing a guy who's done someone...done by Tom, Dick, Henrietta, Able, Kane..the same day...
Lizzie60 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Would you date somebody if you found out the reason they were divorced was because they cheated on their husband/wife? I say no way, i have a friend that just found out the girl he has been dating for 2 months or so got divorced cause she cheated on her husband. I told him to drop her, not sure if he will or not. To me that is about as low as it gets, and when ur that bad of a person u can't change. In that case, it narrows down the possibility of ever dating any divorced/separated people ...LOL There is also no guarantee even if you date single people only....
Hestia Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 I just need to ask this: and would you date someone who cheated their partner with you? i mean, imagine they left their wife/husband/girlfriend/boyfriend for you, would that be any better/different?
Balalaika Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 What's her attitude about it... is she remorseful?. You could look at it this way... she could have lied about the reason behind her divorce to your friend, said anything BUT she cheated, he'd be none the wiser 2 months into it, or 2 years into it. I could be wrong, but I would think serial cheaters would try and hide that lil tidbit about themselves from any new love interests, period.

No I would never date anyone who's married or currently in a serious relationship. Hell, I won't even date all kinds of single men for whatever reasons, so why would I settle for someone in a prior commitment?
Cobra_X30 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 No I wouldn't. The first and only time I have ever seen my dad cry was when he realized my mum was cheating on him. I may not get along with him, but anyone who can do that to another human being I can't trust. Coco... reading that hurts. I agree with every fiber of my bieng... I work so hard to get along with my dad. He is a flawed person, but I have never regretted the work I put into our relationship. He's never... ever let me down.

Sometimes we just fall in love with the wrong person. it's not really a choice.
Cobra_X30 Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Sometimes we just fall in love with the wrong person. it's not really a choice. Wrong... it is a choice. Every step down that path is a choice.
Trialbyfire Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Exactly Cobra. You don't fall in love with someone at first meet or glance. It's a gradual process through continued contact. We're not animals where we're unable to consciously control how we react to attraction.

Balalaika Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 Wrong... it is a choice. Every step down that path is a choice. Just reminded me of that scene in Closer between Jude Law's character and Natalie Portman's character: "I fell in love with her, Alice" "Oh, as if you had no choice? There's a moment, there's always a moment, "I can do this, I can give in to this, or I can resist it." Too true.
