B00nis Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Ok. Short story long. A few months ago I reconnect with a girl I'd known from highschool. She's since acomplished quite a bit as far as her music career goes and I felt she was a little out of my league, nevertheless I took her out for sushi one night. After a couple vases (or w/e) of saki and all the sushi we could each bear to eat, she told me how she had maintained a crush on me since HS. I also had feelings for her back then, but I had come from another school from another state and still felt that she was out of my league. She's incredibly smart, entertaining as hell and can sing like no other (actually wrote a song that made it into a movie once). Things progressed quickly. It wasn't long before we each met eachothers parents and she was asking me to move down to Nashville, or if I wanted her to move back. I dropped out of college and was struggling to find work (other than factory labor) in a pretty small town. So, Nashville sounded like a great opportunity, and she was begging me to come out. The problem for both of us at the time was money, so I went to interview for a factory position and ended up getting a slot in marketing. W00t - I love marketing! I love this girl! She's home a lot so even though were broke we get to spend scads of time with eachother. Things continued going great until about three weeks ago when I started flipping out at the fact she hadn't called or texted for a few days. She finally got back to me and told me how much she just HAD to see me. even if it meant driving up from Nashville for a night. This was confusing and I touched on the cheating thing. She genuinely seemed hurt. So I backed off. Things continued to deteriorate after that. Apparently, she sang in at some place and got some good attention and is filming a show for Fox now. She's also singing and playing a small role in a movie, I guess. She's a really down to earth girl too, but after a couple weeks of freaking out at the fact I was so out of touch with her, I called her today and told her I had to let her go. No more moving to Nashville. So at least you still have your job you love right? Nope. Blew a fuse with someone in manufacturing, and as I was still paid by the temp agency, they let me go. (I do get to go in and fight to keep my job on Monday, but wtf.) Worst day ever and I'd like a little anonymous insight. Thanks, I'm gonna go drink this away since I don't have to be to work in the morning. Wish me luck? Oh and in case I failed to mention - I've been through TONS of relationships where I can't really connect with someone. This is the first time I really got excited about a relationship. Maybe I just needed to be a arse. I tried. She broke me.
