when i meet this girl tonight, i just want to have fun and not feel like i'm on a date, so since she has agreed to see me tonight and make it a hangout and not a DATE, what are some things I can talk about to make sure there are no romantic sparks?

I'm figuring TV, Radio, Music

Just be yourself. Go into the meeting relaxed and with the purpose of making a new friend. No expectations, no judgements.

Just enjoy the experience of a meeting and enjoy the moment of being in the presense of someone else.

Why are you so concerned with not coming off flirty/romantic? Good lord, just be yourself or she ain't going to like you at all in any way. She will remember that time she went out with that "weird guy that just talked about TV and movies. Freak."

And yes, "Wanna ****?" is always a great ice breaker ;)

How about you don't make a big master plan for this date? Try just being yourself (like you said in your other post). If you just relax and get to know this woman as a friend, you might be surprised by how much fun you guys have.

It's possible to make anything sound the way you want it to. It's not what you say but how you say it.

I would suggest that you not worry about it and try not to talk about yourself.. only if she asks.. the rest of the time you need to have good eye contact with her when you speak and ask her about herself..

Women love good eye to eye contact while you are talking to them.. most times it doesn't even matter what the topic of conversation is as long as you are showing her that what she has to say is important to you..

You need to show you are interested in what she has to say..

That is how you make a good impression...

Bring along a friend. Your own 'third wheel' if you will. Then it definitly won't feel like a date.

Bring your ma along to take to extremes!

It's not the topic of the conversation that leads to sparks, it's other factors such as your body language, eye contact, how you touch her, etc. Just be yourself and talk about whatever's on your mind.

If she's cute! I'll go! Then she can slap me instead, because maybe I don't mind that sort of thing.

why are you hanging out with this person if you aren't looking for romance? are you just looking for another platonic friend of the opposite sex?

I was asking myself the same thing. Apparently there were some other threads he's posted, that I have not read but he alluded to them in a different thread. I think it has to do with not getting a second date the last few woman he has dated. Perhaps he's pulling a preemptive strike to avoid rejection.

Because i feel that i need a platonic attractive female friend in my life to help me learn more about dating.

you need a 'dating' coach.... You should be able to get tons of those... women usually love to be dating coaches. :bunny:

that's part of it, but I'm actually going to see if she is attractive enough to be my platonic friend so that she can help me learn more about dating. If I'm not attracted to her then I probably won;t see a need to go out with her again because i take advice from pretty women more seriously than avice from a women i'm not attracted to

females are meant to be sex partners, not "coaches"....

I think you just need to keep putting yourself out there..

We have all learned by doing it..

You can't learn what you want to learn by talking to another.. the only way you can learn it is by doing it and making adjustments on your approaches to women as to what works and what doesn't.

First off... you need to be less difficult... she doesn't need to be that attractive...she's only a platonic friend.. not a lover.

I find this weird that you think that less attractive females can't give good advices... do you mean if they're less attractive...they're less intelligent?

I think you need to review your priorities dude... I don't think you're a 'hunk' yourself.. from what I read so far. :p
