I broke off the beginnings of an LDR. There was one initial meeting in a group where there was a great connection. Then one short visit which was mixed, but then planned this longer visit to spend more time figuring out whether we would proceed because there was so much potential.

A few days into this visit, I had the most clarity I've had since we met - it's not going to work. I just don't feel the strong romantic feelings I did before the visit in the reality of him being in my space and "in my world." To add to it, he started an argument before I was ready to tell him that my feelings had changed. I hate the way we argue. We don't do conflict well.

He's really pressing me for more information and is upset that I didn't realize this sooner. He says he doesn't believe that I could have a change of heart in a few days. But I honestly did. He's really pushing me for specific reasons and I don't want to say small things that bother me - it seems unnecessarily hurtful and pointless and would just create more arguments.

He's here for two more days (cut the trip short, fortunately). What should I say?!?!
