burning 4 revenge Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Buy a man doll? Not yet, but I'm seriously contemplating it.I didn't know there was such a thing. If there is it isn't common I wonder what it says about the sexes that men buy blow up dolls that represent the image of an entire women, while women generally just buy dildos and vibrators
Trialbyfire Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Buy a man doll? Not yet, but I'm seriously contemplating it. Well, technically speaking, there isn't much difference between the man doll and the real thing. Neither communicates. As for my question, it was in reference to smoking after sex.
burning 4 revenge Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 http://realdoll.com/dolls.aspsome thing about that site is a little too reminiscent of jeffrey dahmer and his living sex zombies
lindya Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 I wonder what it says about the sexes that men buy blow up dolls that represent the image of an entire women, while women generally just buy dildos and vibrators Using a discreetly sized dildo probably feels and looks somewhat less foolish than going at it with a dildo that's attached to a 6 ft man made out of latex. Maybe men's libidos are better equipped to shout down those feelings of ridiculousness?
LoveLace Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Well the head is the logical one....however there were times that using my heart would have been much better for me...when I try to be too logical I might appear heart-LESS...
Trialbyfire Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 Well the head is the logical one....however there were times that using my heart would have been much better for me...when I try to be too logical I might appear heart-LESS... So...what is wrong with appearing rational?
allina Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 But doesn't the brain lead the heart? When things are good the brain leads the heart to love and when things are bad does it not make the heart grow less fond?
Trialbyfire Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 The heart drives the feel-good stuff and the brain pulls it back and says, you're nuts.
allina Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 The heart drives the feel-good stuff and the brain pulls it back and says, you're nuts. But I think that the brain makes the heart pull back as well when things go bad, it's just that sometimes the heart is a slow learner.
LoveLace Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 So...what is wrong with appearing rational? Nothing...but I've done the combination of going against my heart, without using my head, and ended up losing something I should have kept...many times...
Trialbyfire Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 it's just that sometimes the heart is a slow learner. Not just a slow learner, it's physically incapable of learning, forget cognitive abilities or retention in any way. There's no grey matter at all. If you (generic) were to give your heart an IQ test, the score would consistently fall below idiot level.

LoveLace Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 To lindya this discussion, you were using your libido or gut? Libido had nothing to do with it; I just judged too quickly and did not consider other possibilities; and moved on to the next thing only to repeat myself; I guess it was my gut.

If you (generic) were to give your heart an IQ test, the score would consistently fall below idiot level. I don't know, I think my heart is one of the smart ones, at the very least it'll finally say "okay okay brain, you were right"
lindya Posted July 30, 2007 Posted July 30, 2007 To lindya this discussion, you were using your libido or gut? My gut told my libido "he's interested". My libido did a rapid assessment and said "great!" Then my heart started ticking back into life for the first time in ages and ages. A couple of weeks later, he asked me out - and while libido, heart and gut went into a flurry, my brain stepped in and declined the invitation. I really did have to say no. Then by the time circumstances changed and it would have been okay(ish) for me to go out with him, I suppose he'd lost interest/found someone else. Timing just wasn't on my side...or perhaps it was, as I've found out a couple of things that reinforce that my brain gave the right answer. Doesn't make me feel any happier though. Oops - misinterpreted the "to lindya" bit. Oh well. All woe and disclosures together!
