There is this guy that I really like. I heard from a couple of people that he has a drinking problem. Well so far they were just rumours until today when I ran into him at the bottle depot. I was there first and all I had were water, diet cola, and diet pepsi cans. He got there after and came next to me, and said hi. I saw he had a TON of beer cans. He looked embarrassed because he didn't say anything else to me, so I just collected my money and left. Do you think that he was embarrassed for me to see all his beer cans? And how should I act around him now, should I act like nothing happened?

He might have. Maybe he is not into you and really didn't think anything of it. Also, that could have been a year's worth of beer cans or he had a party or something, so you can't really make assumptions so I don't think that is a big deal.

I wouldn't rely on rumors, just ask him out and see for yourself. It's not like he's going to drag you to the nearest church and marry you.

 

Would it be a problem for you if he liked drinking? That's what I am wondering. I mean if he pays his bills and doesn't turn into a psycho freak when he drinks (does he get drunk at noon, only on the week end? Etc..)

Seeing that he is your crush, you probably have in up on a pedestal in your mind. But, he is human. He probably does like to drink. As for how much, who knows? Rumors can easily be started by seeing someone buying tons of alcohol or having the empty cans/bottles. Who knows though, maybe he threw a party?

Anyways, I doubt he was embarrassed..... Usually if he has nothing to be embarrassed about, he wouldn't be. (like if he threw a party) If he is an alcoholic, most of them don't even think twice about how much. Most don't even realize that they are overdoing it too much.
