That's sad that from what he wrote you jumped to that conclusion. No, it's NOT the same thing at all. I would have taken it for the compliment he meant it as and thanked him.

Plus he knows I exercise and try to watch what I eat, so I will now take it as a compliment. I know it's not a question to solve the world's problems or anything.

Is that how your mind thinks? I never in a million years would have thought he meant anything like that. He meant he thinks you're hot - it was a compliment.

Would your date celebrate it with Champagne? But seriously, if you're so happy with your figure why on earth would you take what was a compliment, as a put-down? In my eyes, only a VERY insecure person would do that.

I dunno, sounds like you might be insecure about your looks/weight, or you have a huge fear of gaining weight, if that's what you immediately thought the 'guy code' translated to, cause that was clearly guy code for "I want to bang you".

Also if a guy ended an email to me like that I would probably punch his lights out the next time I saw him or I would throw up lol.
