I know, I know its wrong. I just need some sense. Please put me straight cos my friends are too nice. He is 8 years younger than me. Has a girlfriend - I know it doesn't matter that she doesn't understand him. In the past few months we have flirted/ignored each other etc. We have got drunk twice. And snogged twice. We do spend time together as work mates/friends. We have stayed away from home(s) on work visits and nothing has happened, honest I'm not all bad. I'm nuts about him and we blow hot and cold. Body language etc. How do I stop being in lust with him and just have him as a friend. He is the sweetest boy. He would be a great friend and I could really be good for him - as a friend. Tell me how to make it stop. Thank you. PS - I have a social life that most people would give their right arm for, love my friends and family - so the 'get your own life' stuff doesn't fit the cure.

You're going to have to be very, very firm with yourself. The fact that you work together is a complicating factor. If you truly want to "cure" yourself of this affliction (I've suffered it before, and know how hellish it is) then you will have to go "cold turkey" and be cordial to him but stay away. Thanks guys. I know you are right and seeing it in plain black and white does help. It is hard as we do work very closely together, but I am helping him with job applications so fingers crossed. Such a shame, he is fab. Right guy wrong time. Story of my life.
