Being single is expensive

Recommended Posts

It use to be cheap going to a ball game. you could get tickets to the nose bleed section and a hot dog and beer or two . It wasnt real big deal, Now I don't think it is worth it. The cost is just way to high. How does someone afford taking a couple of kids to a game now?

if you want to have some fun try going to a minor league game. It is base ball that puts the fun back into being a spectator.

If you area hard core team fan it might not be the same. but if you are a fan of the game then There is nothing more satisfying as watching a minor league game.

also take a game in at a sports bar, it's a good place to meet woman as well as catch the game.

I'm not sure what happy hours are like in Calif. They were great. i could have a nice dinner and a drink or two, socialize and still get out without breaking the bank.

Well how else do you expect A-Rods salary to be paid for?

I could say the same for just about every other professional sports player.

No, frd, it doesn't matter what she was.

It matters that you are free to date or not, free to sit around in your underwear all day long if you wanted to.

Id probably do that every day if i worked from home. Kinda like Hugh Hefner.... He's the only one who can truly pull it off though.

See, you can if you're single. Not only can you pretend you're the Hef...you can also eat cereal with a big wooden spoon while watching Pujols get another homer...

Yeah, I remember going to Angel games when no one gave a SH**. Now getting a ticket requires an act of congress.

My roomate is a pretty hardcore fan,or so it seems.

i have been an angel fan (every season) for the past 25 years... i love baseball.

Tigers are in town next week - yes?

My boss has two seats for every home game. if it doesn't happen that you find tickets - let me know.

i am anxious to watch them play oakland - like i am every year at this time...

Ya - loved that Vladi won the home run derby!

That was a close game, but once again the Tigers starting pitching dominated. How many teams truly have 5 quality starters?

Are you referring to the Angels? If so, that is not the team he plays for.:lmao:

Now if Vladi can do that more often in games we would have something.

I didn't know where frd lived so I tried to pick the funniest player name I could think of. And yes, I do know that Pujols plays for the Cardinals.

Looking back on the thread now, you two were chatting about the teams but I'm ashamed to say I was too lazy to read the entire thread previous to posting. :o

Or, bring your leftovers in to work the next day and eat them for lunch. The past two weeks I've brought lunch to work. Saved me like 7-9 bucks a day! :-) Of course, I'm getting bored of it, but every penny counts, right lol.

Instead, Costco took my money tonight. Who knew bulk could be so much fun!

Whether your single or not, fact is if you hang out and involve yourself with friends you will spend money on eating out, cocktails, other expenditures you have to fork out for yourself or a friend. That is why I prefer to be attached and only pay attention to one individual to spend my money and time with. Although when hubby is deployed I hang with friends and yes it does remind me why I don't get interested with friends when hubby is home.
