I asked this question on my date for the first time in my dating life and............

I did get a good anwser to the question. I was being more of a talker and finding out about her and asked her does she have any males friends and her response was

 

"Yes one but he is gay, i have no straight male friends"

 

I know i'm analyzing too much but what do you think of that answer?

I'm thinking it means that she is not dating any of her male friends (although it sounds like she only has the one, and he's gay)...did she seem okay with answering your questions??....

So what if she has no straight male friends? I would think that for you that would be a good thing? lol j/k Well, who knows...maybe she just hasn't found any straight males worth befriending. Just ask her why if it's something that's bothering you.

I think your forum name is absolutely correct. Do yourself a favor and pull yourself out of your fishbowl of self analyzing and open your eyes to the other things in the world. You will NOT be a successful dater if you make a bullet point list about every date and analyze the points one by one for the next few weeks. It will become detrimental to your dating life.

 

Just go with it. If it's fun, enjoy it. If you had a good time, great. If you don't have a second date, move on. But please stop obsessing before you make yourself crazy and unhappy.
