Do men/women steer away from dating shy people? Are outgoing people better?

Not necessarily, but it is more difficult to get to know a shy person obviously.

I am as well, so its all good.:)

Lots of people don't prefer shy individuals because it takes more time and effort to get them to open up and talk to them.

If she is cute, then I will at least attempt to try and talk to her, but if I don't get much feedback, then she is probably not interested and I will move on.

Where did you get that idea from?

I know many great people who are on the shy side.

From the last part. It sounded like it.

Not at all, but wouldn't you do the same? If you tried talking to someone and you didn't get much feedback, wouldn't you assume that the person is not interested in you?

Most people don't deliberately avoid shy people, but shyness can be misinterpreted as..

"I'm not interested in talking to you."

"I'm too good for you"

"I don't like you"

"I'm hiding something."

"I have a BF/GF"

etc.

No? Why not?

I am a very outgoing person who tends to be most attracted to the shyer, quieter types. Maybe one " showman" in the family is enough !

But, like the others said, I need to know your interested in me, so if the shyness gets in the way of that..........

Why not what?

I put out that vibe. My downfall to being shy. :(

I didn't say that. Not interested is not interested shy or no shy.

Oh, ok. Your post made it sound otherwise.

It looks right to me, but look at post 9 and post 11 and tell me what you think.

Alright, now I am confused.

Either way, sorry for going off-topic on your thread. Hopefully people will still respond.

Shy girls are the best. They keep the mystery going!

I like shy girls also but they're also the ones that cause alot of problems later.

From what I've seen shy guys don't get very far.
