zoidberg Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 How should I handle my wife's self-consciousness with her post-partum body? She feels terribly humiliated by it and I am nervous as hell because if I say the wrong thing or don't say anything at all all hell breaks loose.

You can't make your wife feel better about her body, it needs to come from within her. You can tell her you find her beautiful, but she'll probably just call you a liar. This is really a no-win situation.
doiask42much Posted July 6, 2007 Posted July 6, 2007 Is there any sort of workout program she can do? Like ones designed specifically for postpartum women? Many celebs do special workouts and bounce right back, looking like they never had a child. Might be hard to broach the subject, eh? Maybe you could just tell her many women can and do look great after having a child and ask if she is ready to start getting back in shape? Maybe you could even do it together? I'm sure your body could benefit too! Here are some quick tips. Dunno if they are any good but I'm sure you could research online and find more stuff, videos and whatnot. http://www.phitchick.com/pregnancy.html
