so it's becoming more likely (or perhaps i'm getting more used to the idea) that it might be divorce. so tell me...what can i focus on to make it easier? i've lived with him for seven years. married for two. it's a way of life.

so...what's so great about being a single girl?? anything??

start living for you. flirt, kiss and dance. pamper yourself and make yourself feel pretty, get your friends back, go out whenever you feel like. you have the bed all to yourself. no strange stuff in YOUR bathroom.

I was one for a few years after divorcing the ex. I came to love the peace, quiet, solitude and order of my life alone. Didn't date for over two years and had no desire to do so.

Living alone was wonderful. There was no one to be responsible to or for but myself. No one to have to answer to or have answerable to me. I could come and go as I pleased without conflict or inconvenience, eat what I wanted, when I wanted, or not at all if that's what I wanted. I had the bed, the refrigerator, the bathroom and the television all to myself and life was calm and refreshing.

You don't have the experience of falling into the toilet because the seat was left up.

What isn't good about being single after divorce? :)

Maybe that's because I ALWAYS put the seat down (my Momma raised me right) and I also tend to look first before I sit anywhere! :laugh:

there are soooo much benefits of being single:

doing what I want when I want with who I want;

having my space;

spending my money on whatever turns me on;

my house is always clean;

eat when I'm hungry;

eat in front of the television, watching MY shows;

no snoring...

I'm sure there are more ...

You are a good man, perhaps a rare breed.

Well, I think even the best people can forget, especially when younger. I also think my ex did this sometimes just to literally piss me off. I will also add that I do/did look, but at night, when it's dark and when you are sleepy, it is most unpleasant to forget to check and get that wake up call.

I got revenge once, at night by rinsing off in the sink then running to bed with my wet fanny and told him he had to deal with what he did. Great fun that was.

Hahaha...I grew up with a father and two brothers in the household. I never sit down without checking, no matter what time of day or night it is. :laugh:

That's funny because I'm now "trained" that way too. I check even if it's in a home I'm visiting that doesn't have a man living in it. It's just a habit now. But I still can't understand how a mother with four girls and a boy, didn't teach his son to put the #*%'ing seat down!

Other than that though, he's ok.

(And sadgirl, since you're so sad I'll forgive you for stealing my thread idea!:p)

I was the youngest, so my Mom trained me from the get-go that way. I think she was Pavlov conditioned. :laugh:

Time to get this thread back on-topic. There is nothing good about being single. If someone says there is something good, then they are at best naive, and at worst a liar.

I meant 'on whatever I want'...

I don't know about you but I don't spend money on people... I don't have to... :p

Of course not. Selfish people never do. Many of us don't "have" to. We just do it because we want to.

I've heard about this. Men have a genie in their pants, right? After three wishes are up, you can just rub it again.

Depends on who you're married to.

Depends on who you're married to.

That's a very interesting hypothesis, but closer inspection soon reveals that you're wrong. Enough said.

Oh how I pity you. Your whole happiness is dependent on another person, and once that person leaves, you're left miserable. Truly sad that you cant find happiness within yourself and enjoy your own company.

The best thing about being single is FREEDOM! Freedom to do as I please, when I please and whom I please, as often or as little as I please. Freedom from nagging and compromises and snoring! Freedom to watch what i want, eat what I want, clean whenever I want, sleep whenever I want, go where ever i want, talk to whomever I want, and when I'm sick of being in the company of other people, i'm FREE to go home, to my own place, where I can enjoy PEACE AND QUIET. There are a LOT of positives to being single.

, eat what I want,

Is this why many single people are fat? You are very observant.

I feel sorry for people like him too.. how sad!

I wouldn't trade my life with anyone... I've seen both sides...and I prefer by far to be single.. and to see whoever I want, whenever I want.

It's only been 6 years now... that I've been single... so maybe I'm still in my honeymoon with myself.. LOL :bunny:

That you're wrong. I thought I made that clear enough.
